St. George’s Choir of St. George’s Episcopal Church, Nashville, Tennessee, includes both volunteer and professional singers who sing regularly for services and all the major festivals of the Church Year. They also present a cappella concerts and oratorios with orchestra. In 1989 they were chosen to sing at the National Convention of the American Choral Director’s Association (ACDA) in Louisville, Kentucky. That same year, the choir also sang concerts in England, Belgium, and Austria, ending the tour by singing the Vierne Messe Solennelle for Sunday morning Mass at the Cathedral of Notre Dame in Paris. The choir’s 1997 and 1999 CD recordings (released on Pro Organo) were under the direction of Wilma Jensen, the organist and choirmaster of St. George’s Episcopal Church at that time.
