Gerald Webster and Paul Klemme

Trumpeter Gerald Webster has performed with a diverse range of musical colleagues, from popular artists such as The Manhattan Transfer, Bob Hope, Johnny Mathis, the Spokane Jazz Orchestra, and Broadway touring companies of Camelot and The Music Man, to classical groups including the Spokane Symphony, the Portland Baroque Orchestra, Boston Baroque, the Pacific Baroque, the United States Military Academy Band at West Point, and the New York Brass Sextet. Gerald Webster received the BME and MM degrees from Indiana University. A graduate with highest distinction, he was recipient of a Ford Foundation Fellowship. After one year as Professor Trumpet at Western Illinois University, he joined the music faculty of Washington State University in 1970. In 1995, he joined the faculty of Portland State University as Professor of Trumpet and Coordinator of Brass Studies. Paul Klemme is active as an organ recitalist in the United States and Europe (together with colleague, trumpeter Gerald Webster). He holds the Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Choral Conducting (1988) from the University of Washington as well as the Master of Music degree in Choral Conducting and Organ Performance from the University of Michigan (1981) and a Bachelor of Music degree in Organ Performance from Central Methodist College, Fayette, Missouri (1979).
