American Record Guide “Briggs has a flair for improvisations, and uses a good many tricks of the trade from listening to Cochereau’s recordings.” – Metz
This concert features a truly varied program. … The IV/82 Muller organ serves him admirably throughout the program. Briggs is one of the most dazzling performers around (as well as a fabulous composer) … The improvisation, in particular, is a tour de force not only of technique (which Briggs has to burn!), but of imagination, color and contrast. The program has artistic integrity, audience appeal, and balance; more recitals like this would help to build audiences for organ performance. … Provided are program notes, a biography, and a description of the organ with spotless. The sound is especially fine for a live recording. – Victor Hill, The Journal of the Association of Anglican Musicians (February 2006).
