Yoon-Mi Lim is the First Prize Winner of the 2004 National Young Artists Competition in Organ Performance (NYACOP) sponsored by the American Guild of Organists (AGO), which was held during the 47th National Convention of the AGO in Los Angeles, California. At the time of this recording, she is a doctoral student in Organ Performance and Literature at Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana, where she studies organ with Dr. Christopher Young, and serves as Music Director and Organist at Fairlawn Presbyterian Church in Columbus, Indiana. Originally from Seoul, Korea, Ms. Lim spent her middle school years in Sydney, Australia. She received her Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from Yonsei University, Seoul, where her teachers were Dr. Tong-Soon Kwak and Kyung-Hee Jung. While studying organ at Yonsei, she also pursued study in piano performance with Myung-Jin Kim. In addtition to winning the AGO NYACOP in 2004, Ms. Lim is also a first prize winner in the John Rodland Scholarship Competition (2003), and she holds a second prize in the Arthur Poister Organ Competition (2003). Before coming to the United States to further her studies, she was a first prize winner in piano performance in the Korean Piano Duo Competition (1995). Ms. Lim has also been engaged as a concert soloist with concerts managed by Karen MacFarlane Artists as a benefit of her NYACOP award, as well as in performances as a piano and organ accompanist with numerous choirs and soloists. She served as accompanist for the Yonsei Glee Clb in 1993-1994 and tours the United States with the group.as a piano and organ accompanist with numerous choirs and soloists. From 2000-2003, Ms Lim also served as an ­instructor for the Young Pianist Program at Indiana University.
