American Record Guide “Save for a few of their selections, this very fine Christmas program would not sound out-of-place in London’s massive edifice of the same name. It is done according to unadulterated Anglican tradition, down to rather British-sounding diction – though both of these ensembles have a richer sound than is normally heard from cathedral choirs in the old country. … you can hear every word and note in the headlong and tricky ‘This Little Babe’ section, which has defeated many a lesser choir. … Their merged voices sound especially thrilling as they soar in stratospheric and sonorous singing … Sound quality is excellent, from a relatively non-reverberant (for a large church) acoustic. Choral-organ balances are especially lucid and non-boomy.” – Koob

American Record Guide Christmas at St. Paul’s Episcopal Cathedral, Buffalo, New York. Christmas in the grand Anglican tradition. A choir of men and boys. A girls’ choir. A huge organ. Timpani. Trumpets and trombones. Harp. Piano. Stately majesty. A true holiday ambiance. Twelve traditional favorites … A grand array. … a collection of old favorites performed with firm faith and conviction. – Parsons
