The Banner, the official magazine of the Christian Reformed Church First-Plymouth Congregational Church of Lincoln, Neb., shows what an ambitious church music program can produce. The entire album is devoted to giving beloved hymns new voice, and that it does. Amazingly, attention is first and naturally drawn to the texts rather than the magnificent Schoenstein organ, the choir, brass ensemble, or handbell choir. This CD is sure to start a stampede of worshipers running back to their hymnals, demanding more. – Randall Engle
