In this recording made during the 2010-2011 academic year, conductors Andrew McShane and Mary Catherine Levri lead The University of Notre Dame Liturgical Choir in a variety of plainchant and sacred choral classics.  The program features a variety of a cappella selections, with some works accompanied with organ, and two tracks accompanied by organ with brass and percussion.  Recorded in the Basilica of the Sacred Heart on the campus of University of Notre Dame, Notre Dame, Indiana USA.

The University of Notre Dame Liturgical Choir
The University of Notre Dame Liturgical Choir, founded in 1973 as the Chapel Choir, is comprised of 70 singers drawn from all areas of the undergraduate and graduate student body. The Choir’s main function is to provide musical leadership at the 10 AM Solemn Mass at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart, a French Gothic structure built in 1871 by University founder Fr.
