Hicks continues his quest to discover hidden organ music treasures from Nordic composers, and to inspire new organ music from leading Nordic composers of the current age, in the tenth volume – a double-CD – in his NORDIC JOURNEY series.  Disc 1 features the 1879 Olsen / 1986 Marcussen pipe organ of Helligåndskirken, Copenhagen, Denmark.  Disc 1 features 19th through mid 20th century organ compositions.  Disc 2 features the 1994 Andersen organ of St. Morten’s Church, Randers, Denmark.  Disc 2 features organ literature from post-World War II, mid 20th-century through the current time.  The recording features a cameo appearance on Disc 1 by guest organist George Chittenden.
