This is a virtuoso-level concert organ transcription of George Gershwin’s Three Preludes for Piano. The work was first premiered in 1926 at the fashionable Roosevelt Hotel in New York City. The transcription was made in 1999. Since the underlying, original composition has lapsed into the public domain in the USA, there are no restrictions on this arrangement coming into print. The transcription presumes a 3 or 4–manual and pedal organ with 61 note manual compass and 32 note pedal compass. It will benefit from having 2 or more divisions under individual expression.
This item includes ONLY the music score. An audio recording by Frederick Hohman is being produced and shall be posted here soon.
