Toccata on an American Folk Tune by Arthur Rhea (Score and Audio CD)

This printed music score from Zarex Scores is a virtuosic original organ composition by the late organist-church musician Arthur Rhea.  It is suitable for concert use, and as a festive organ postlude for worship.  The folk tune upon which the toccata is based is found in an 1832 collection called The Christian Lyre.

Arthur Rhea (1919-2016) studied composition with Paul Hindemith at Yale University, and served church music posts at historic Bruton Parish Church in Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia and at Church of the Redeemer in Baltimore, Maryland.
